PRODUCT COLLABORATIONS

Fashion went hand-in-hand with music in all youth cultures, none more so than the Skinhead scene. Gavin Watson’s iconic images still endure, appealing to a new generation of youth through brands such as Doc Martens, Fred Perry and Casio G-Shock.

Fred Perry and Raf Simons

Continuing their illustrious collaborative partnership, Fred Perry and Raf Simons present their latest offering for SS20. Combining the British label's signature laurel wreath branding with the Belgian designer's penchant for cult references, this selection of polo shirts, tees, hoodies and sweatshirts ensures that the two labels' DNA is beautifully represented.

Tapping British photographer Gavin Watson, this capsule is replete with imagery from Watson's extensive documentation of the '70s skinhead subculture he grew up in. Printed across the chest and the shoulders, these images deliver a rich and nuanced impression of the historic style that became synonymous with Fred Perry throughout that era.

Casio G-Shock X MoYC
Casio teamed up with the Museum of Youth Culture in the UK to create a retro-styled watch celebrating British music scenes of punk, rave and ska.

The Casio G-Shock comes with a printed strap and presentation box featuring photographs from the Gavin Watson Archive.

Flagstuff

Flagstuff‘s Spring/Summer 2021 collection is a blend of the Japanese brand’s signature elements, enmeshing street culture and skate style with activewear, militaria and elements of retro sportswear.

This melting pot approach to design was abetted by a standout collaboration with photographer Gavin Watson, whose snapshots of an evolving British subculture grace a variety of lightweight layering pieces. Watson’s imagery showcases a group of fun-loving youngsters growing up just outside of London, binging on a mix of reggae and early punk music and making friends and falling in love with likeminded youths.

Featuring images from his vast archive, the t-shirts  have been designed  for both men and women

The lookbook for this collection featured the collection worn by a close friend of the photographer, expressing a personal emotion and recaling the values of authenticity and fraternity.
